Goldilicious Cake

This cake was for my niece Lily's Golden 8th birthday. She requested to have a cake from the Pinkalicious series. She wanted one layer pink for pinkalicious, one layer of purple for purplicious and the top layer to be gold for goldilicious. The cake is covered in fondant with fondant characters. The dresses on the characters is material that I sewed into dresses....please keep in mind...I bake..not sew! The 8 on the top of the cake is made out of chocolate melting candy. The unicorn on top is fondant.

Xbox 360 Cake

This was one of the first cakes that I sold. I probably spent about 14 hours on the cake. I had a few rough spots while making this cake but I was very happy with the way that it turned out. This was for a 16 year old boy. The cake is chocolate cake with buttercream frosting covered in fondant.

Baby Girl on the way!!

This is probably one of my favorite diaper cakes that I made. This one was for a friend who wanted to give it as a gift to his brother and his sister in law expecting a baby girl. I loved the color scheme for this one. I had my sister in law Gina make some head pieces and barrettes to dress up the diaper cake a bit. The theme was butterflies so I added several pieces to go with that. It was a big hit!

Adopted Baby Girl

This was a diaper cake that I made for one of my husbands coworkers who after several unsuccessful attempts to have a child, was blessed to adopt a beautiful bundle of joy.

Jungle Themed Cupcakes

The first picture are monkey cupcakes for my sister in laws Baby Shower. I got the monkey topper idea from thefrostedcakencookie.blogspot.com... they were adorable! The other photo is of a few other jungle animals that I made for a 1st birthday party and a baby shower. All of the toppers are made from fondant and I made the grass cupcake liners.

Shower of Baby Love

This was my first diaper cake that I made. It was for a monkey themed baby shower for my sister in law Beth and her husband Jerry. I thought..."Go big or go home!" lol. I bought several foam monkey kits and arranged them in different areas and went on monkey overload with monkey clothes, decor...you name it!

For the Football team...Go Trojans!!

My son plays for the Bolingbrook Trojan football team and we had a tailgating party after his homecoming game. I made each team member their own cupcake with a jersey, their number, and a football on grass. For the parents and coaches, I made cupcakes with chocolate footballs on them. I did a couple for some chearleaders that were white pom poms with purple sprinkles to match the teams colors.

This is where it began...

This is where it all began for me. I decided to try and make the cake/cupcakes for my son and daughter's Halloween themed birthday party. Their birthdays are just a couple days apart so we had one big bash for the both of them together. I decided to do giant cupcakes for each one and several standard sized cupcakes for the party. For my son's giant cupcake, I decided to do his as a graveyard theme to match his invitations. I did a hand out of gum paste, chocolate grave stones and added pumpkins. Then I put his gorgeous face on a spooky body. For my daughter's cupcake, I put her beautiful little face at the top with a shirt that matched her 1st birthday outfit/costume that my sister in law Gina made. The cupcake was decorated to match her tutu that turned her into the pumpkin princess...the rest of the party got various different halloween themed cupcakes.
